Folk feast is the most permanent and rich mythological formula of the naive art. Painting the feasts naive artists intend to neglect ethnographic details, which are compulsory in traditional folk art. The emphasis is moved from the ritual to a certain situation in which all participants are equally involved. The show symbolises unity of people. The theme of the feast in the naive art is treated in various ways demonstrating the fundamental notion of a human and presenting his generalised image. The pictures are always baring some biographical details and are mostly turned back to the past, to the reminiscences of childhood, to the theme of motherland.
