Manyuk Vladimir Vasilievitch
Was born on January 26, 1952 in Novosibirsk Oblast. After finishing school in 1969 entered the Krivoi Rog mining technical school, graduating in 1972. During study passed field practice on Caucasus (1970) and on Tien-Shan (1971) in geological surveys.
From 1972 for 1976 worked in Kirghizia on prospecting and geological search and surveys.
In 1976 moved to Dnepropetrovsk on Ukraine, where from 1976 to 1984 worked in the Dnepropetrovsk geophysical expedition. Specialized on study of Cenozoic sedimentary cover, studied fossils of Neogene, geomorphology.
From 1978 to 1984 was an extramural student the Kharkov university, on graduatung which received the profession of "engineer - geologist". From 1984 to 1993 worked in Novomoskovsk prospecting expedition of state association "Pivdenukrgeology" as the senior geologist on geological survey. From 1993 teachers, and since 1996 the senior lecturer of faculty of geology of the Dnepropetrovsk National University. In 1996 defended the dissertation "Paleogeographical reconstruction of conditions of sedimentation in Paleogene-Neogene basins of Middle Pridneprovia" at the Kharkov University and received the scientific degree of candidate in Geological and Mineralogical Sciences.
Since 1997 I have particulared in the all Ukrainian program for inventorising, cataloguing and creating of a databank and preservating the natural geological monuments (geosites), which result will be the edition of the book "Natural Geological Monuments of Ukraine".
Since 2001 the member of the European Association on preservation of a geological heritage (ProGeo). In 2002 took part in the Dublin conference ProGeo in Ireland with the report, in 2003 in Poland at a conference "Geological Heritage of Сеntral Europe" giving a report on the geology of Snake Island, as a unique natural monument of Ukraine.
Direction of scientific activity: stratigraphy, litology and paleogeography of Neogene-Quaternary sediments of Southern Ukraine, Quaternary geology, geomorphology and mineral deposits of Ukraine, geology of southwest Crimea, geosites of Ukraine.
