Ministry of Cultural Affairs of the Russian Federation, The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts and the "Kovcheg" Exhibition Hall present an exhibition "Graphics by A. V. Shevchenko (1883-1948) from funds of The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts and the museum of private collections".
The demonstration of graphic works of the master of Russian art Alexander Vasil'evich Shevchenko is dated for a 120-anniversary from the date of his birth. The exposition contains of both museum funds, and creations from private Moscow collections and artist's family.
An exhibition "The Rumiantsev Palace in the cultural life (is dated for 175-anniversary of Russian State Library)" was opened in exhibition halls of the Pushkin State Museum located on Prechestenka street. The aim of the exhibition is to show historically developed collections of The Rumiantsev Palace in their variety.
In 20s years of the XX century during a reorganization of The Rumiantsev Palace its unique exhibits have filled up collections of conducting Russian museums in: Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, Vladimir, Rostovs the Great, Ivanov, and subsequently appeared outside the Russian borders: in Kiev, Feodosiya, Yalta, Gomel, Tashkent and other cities.
The exhibition of factory "Gorodets paintings" - "Art paintings of the Gorodets" is opened in the All-Russian Museum of Decorative, Applied and Folk Arts.
The ancient village Gorodets was founded in the XII century, it is located on the bank of Volga, above Nizhniy Novgorod. The Gorodets's advantageous location in trade relations on Volga, close to Makar'evskaya, the largest in Russia fair in Nizhniy Novgorod, promoted to fast development of various crafts in Gorodets and its suburbs. At this exhibition works of the Deserved artists of Russia, Winners of the State premium named after Repin and younger artists of this remarkable ancient Russian craft are submitted.
All-Russian Museum of Decorative, Applied, and Folk Arts represents an exhibition of creations of the artist of Russian national craft "Gzhel", the winner of the State premium of the Russian Federation Gennady Vasil'evich Denisov. At this exhibition are submitted decorative plastic arts - the porcelain from the V.S. Bidak collection. G.V.Denisova's creations submitted at the exhibition, is only a part of the V.S. Bidak collection - one of conducting artists of national craft "Gzhel" which he collected during four years, recreating Gennady Vasil'evich's creative heritage.

Creation of decorative art products from become obsolete natural vegetative material is a special area of creativity of modern masters - members of the Moscow city club "Nature and creativity ", which already exists more than 40 years. Everybody knows that the nature is the richest source of inspiration for creatively gifted people who has meaning of the life - to create and construct beauty. And special professionalism is sometimes not so obligatory. If the person has soul of the artist, kind hardworking hands and, the main thing, the big aspiration to creativity, then beauty will be obligatory embodied in creations which everybody will be able to see. Moreover, unless it is not the main aim of the present creator - the artist, the poet?
From November 2003 - till January, 2004 in two largest Russian art museums - Hermitage and the Russian museum - will pass video-exhibitions of artists from 4 countries: USA, Netherlands, the Great Britain and Israel. The aim of this festival is to show the best samples of modern video - art to the Russian spectator to show, how modern artists use new media - technologies for creation modern art. In the State Hermitage in common with video installations, products from own museum collections also will be submitted.

In walls of The Military Museum of the Artillery, Engineering and Signal Corps which in August, 2003 has noted its 300-anniversary, passes the next exhibition of the production of Zlatoust enterprises "Modern art metal of Zlatoust". It becomes worthy continuation of the collection which have arrived in a museum in August, 1999 after the first exhibition of the Zlatoust creations which also passed in the Military - historical museum. There will be involved more than 20 enterprises in this exhibition. You will be able to see there not only gravures on the metal, but also blacksmith's skill
An exhibition "Germans and the Academy of arts. XVIII - the beginning of XX century", taking place in ceremonial halls of the Museum of the Russian Academy of arts on University embankment, 17 shows more than 100 picturesque, graphic, sculptural creations, architectural projects and models from funds of the museum and its department - I.I.Brodskiy's museums - apartment.
In Samara Museum of History and Regional Studies named after P.V.Alabin was opened a photo-exhibition "A profession to see first". It is a retrospective demonstration of works of one of Samara photo artists Vladimir Petrovich Lavrent'ev, a member of the Union of photo artists of Russia. Lavrent'ev Vladimir Petrovich - a photographer of the Samara Museum of History and Regional Studies named after P.V.Alabin. He was born in Cheboksary in 1947. This exhibition consists of more than 150 photos, and museum subjects used by V.P.Lavrent'ev in photographing. The exhibition consists of some thematic blocks: "Society" (meetings, sports, crime); "Landscapes"; "Temples"; "Nu" ; "Still life"; "Advertising" and "Computer photos".
There was opened an exhibition "Russian spinning-wheel" in the Museum "Smolensk's Flax". Visitors will see a unique collection of spinning-wheels XIX - the beginnings XX centuries from assembly of Smolensk state museum - reserve. At this exhibition, it is shown about 50 spinning-wheels from different areas of Russia.
