Born in Semiluki, Voronezh region. Art historian, specialist in contemporary folk art. Graduated from Moscow Institute of Engineering and Construction. Began to study the naive art in the late 1980-ies.
Since 1996 working in the Department of Fine, Decorative and Applied Arts at the State Russian House of Folk Arts (SRHFA). Head of the "People's Gallery" - a sub-division at the SRHFA, located in Potapovsky Lane, 16/5, block 3.
Field of professional interests: new trends in the amateur fine arts, their analysis and presentation of the most interesting art phenomena to the public at the exhibitions of local (over 50) and national (4) scale.
