Motherland, another wall

The word "motherland" recalls the chain of associations following one another like the circles on the water. Pictures of childhood, images of parents, family and home revive the memories of the living and gone relatives and friends, cause the feeling of membership in a big indivisible union called the "clan".
The majority of Russian naive artists was born and grew up in rural areas. The reminiscences of childhood find their way to the canvases and paper and appear in the vivid scenes of rural life, touched with nostalgia. This theme allows reconstructing the image of the native house, or of once prosperous vanished village. The artist treats the peasants' life as an initial being of human. His works are based on the same myth of the lost paradise.
