Makarov Nikolay Alexandrovich. 1917-1992. Murmansk region

Grew up in peasants family, drew from childhood. Having finished 7 grades of secondary school worked as a baker. Participated in the World War II, three times was wounded. After the War worked as a designer at the local village recreation club, then at the plants in Kirovsk (Murmansk region), where he moved with his family in 1962. Most of his paintings are devoted to his native village Veliky Dvor in Vologda region, peasants work and customs.
