WRITTEN SOURCES

The group of written sources is dated from late18th century till today and contains documents
- about life and activities of merchants - the Burylins, the Gandurins, the Zhurovs, Boyarkina, etc.;
- about life and work of Soviet state and military leaders - A.Bubnov, M.Frunze, A.Vasilevsky;
- documents related to inventor N.Bernados, architects brothers Vesnin, writers D.Furmanov and A.Nozdrin, etc.
Among the social and political documents there are
- unique collection of imperial decrees and granting diplomas of 18th through early 20th century;
- documents on progress of textile industry, including documents from textile mills;
- monuments of revolution 1905-07;
- printed matter of early Soviet years, etc.; è ò.ä.;
- documents on museum history of Ivanovo-Voznesensk.;
Cartography materials include
-plans and maps of Ivanovo-Voznesensk (then - Ivanovo) of 18-20th century,
-plans and maps of the province
(later - Ivanovo oblast);
-plans of certain estates and buildings
(e.g. plans of D.G.Burylin’s museum and mansion).
Philately collection comprises stamps and envelopes on country studies.
