ARMORY COLLECTION


The armory collection is rightfully occupying the leading position in D.G.Burylin’s museum.
It amounts over 1.000 pieces.
Chronologically it covers more than five centuries - 16th through 20th centuries.
Geographically it is also remarkable: Russia, India, Persia, Caucasus, Mongolia, Japan, China, USA, Germany, Belgium, England, etc.
The most valuable in terms of art and history are the pieces of armory made by known masters like A.Surnin, I.Kuchenreiter, Mikhailov, Tretyakov, Brewett, Adams.
Most interesting are
- specimens of samurai arms of 17-19th cent.,,
- Russian awarding side-arms,,
- flint and cap pistols for duels from Europe and Russia,,
- equipment and side-arms from East and Caucasus,,
- fire- and side-arms from the court of Emir of Bukhara,,
- a whole complex of combatant weapons from Europe and Russia of 19th - early 20th cent.
