Ivanovo local lore museum is the oldest and best known among others in our region. The building housing it is architecturally unique. It was built in 1914 according to P.Trubnikov design and financed by Ivanovo-Voznesensk factory owner and collector of rarities and antiquities D.G.Burylin for exhibiting his collections.

At present the following exhibitions are available:
- "Nature of Ivanovo region";
- "Archeological monuments of the area";
- "Arms from D.G.Burylin’s collection";
- "Rejoice, thee tree of life" - display of copper casting;
- "D.G.Burylin, the founder of Ivanovo museum";
- "Victory Day".
