DEPICTING SOURCES FUND


Depicting sources fund contains pieces of painting, graphics, sculpture and applied arts – copper casting, Rostov enamel, lacquered miniature painting from Palekh and Kholuy.
Collection of ancient Russian art contains a group of icons with prevailing later monuments of local provincial centers of icon painting. There are items be Palekh icon painters of 18-19th centuries.
Collection of Rostov enamel of 18th- early 20th cent. reflects certain periods in this craft’s history.
Collection of Russian painting contains masterpieces of provincial portrait art by anonymous and known painters of this genre – N.Mylnikov, P.Dubrovin, P. Tcerkassov, and others.
In the graphic collection a distinguished place is occupied by textile designes.
The two world known centers of modern lacquer miniature - Palekh and Kholuy – are represented by names and works of I.Golikov, I.Bakanov, N.Zinovyev (Palekh) and V.Puzanov, N.Denissov (Kholuy).
