Mason collection. For D.G.Burylin it had always been his special pride. In his lifetime the museum had a special room for it, the so called Mason room ( judging by the photos of early 20th century).

Thanks to thorough investigation we know a dreary document of September 16, 1930 which reads:
"... 1300 items of the mason collection have been sent to Moscow for export and realization through "Antiquariat" for 50.000 rubles." This was the decision of Narkompros (state committee on enlightenment).
Today the collection contains a number of personal mason badges, documents and ritual items for initiation.
There is no need to comment on the uniqueness of these exhibits, they provoke immense interest. Suffice to say that people specifically come to Ivanovo to see this collection.
